In collaboration with M4 Architects, De Klerck Engineering and Riessauw, we worked on the demolition and new construction of GO! Growth in Ypres. This project, carried out through a Design & Build formula, included the complete redevelopment of the school site, including the construction of an inspiring outdoor space.
The new school is designed according to an innovative educational concept that focuses on interaction and connection. The atrium, grandstand, and gymnasium form the beating heart of the building. This central space connects the various units – including the kindergarten, the administrative wing, the sanitary blocks, and the elementary school classrooms upstairs – with each other and with the outdoor space. The open design over two floors creates a gallery feel that promotes transparency and spaciousness.
With attention to functionality, sustainability and a pleasant learning environment, the new building provides a contemporary place where children can learn, play and grow.
